National Trust Commission in Coggeshall, Essex
E Fineston-Robertson led the music box workshop in the 'Woven Sound, Knitted Community' project. This was a commission from the National Trust and Essex Cultural Diversity Project, and was funded by the Arts Council England and the National Trust. E Fineston-Robertson worked with visitors and the local community to create work in response to Paycocke's House and the historic town of Coggeshall. The project focuses on historical use of Grange Barn as a combined place of industry (wool) and community gathering, and the musical connection between Paycocke's House and the composers Gustav and Imogen Holst. As a focus for culturally diverse collaboration, the local community used punch- card music boxes to create musical patterns and melodies.
